Alguns ganham as páginas e capas dos jornais, como o menino João Pedro Mattos, 14, morto dentro de casa em São Gonçalo, na Baixada Fluminense, em maio; a menina Ágatha Félix, 8, morta no Complexo do Alemão, na zona norte carioca, em setembro de 2019; ou o menino Kauan Alves, 16, atingido no rosto na manhã do último natal durante uma ação da Polícia Militar paulista para reprimir um baile funk no bairro do Jabaquara, zona sul da capital.
É uma rotina que foi normalizada no Brasil e vai muito além de alguns casos emblemáticos".
